Supergirl: Last Daughter of Krypton
Tess Mercer sat in the Luthor Mansion behind her mahogany desk. She had just acquired a new artifact and couldn't wait to see it with her own eyes. Her hands moved toward the suitcase latches and she opened it... to find a beautiful golden crystal. Unknown to Tess, it was a Kandorian Crystal, almost the same as the one that had been the Crystal for the creation of the Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic, and yet not quite the same because of its color. "It's so beautiful..." Tess whispered as she looked at it in awe.
She got her assistant on the case to secure the artifact at a Luthorcorp facility. The assistant retrieved it and made sure it was en route to the nearest Luthorcorp facility.

Meanwhile, Chloe was behind her desk at Watchtower and happened to see what was happening at the Luthor Mansion. She shook her head. "Tess won't ever learn, will she?" She asked Dr. Emil Hamilton while she typed on her keyboard to do a close up on the artifact. Clark had his Fortress in the Arctic... then this one had to be Kara's...
She got up from her seat and turned to Dr. Emil Hamilton. "It's time we stop Tess once and for all."
Emil looked at her. "What do we suggest we do?"
Chloe didn't hesitate and told him. "We erase her memory and steal that artifact."
She still wanted Tess Mercer to pay for what she put Oliver through.

Tess was about to call in if the transport had already secured the artifact when she heard movement coming up behind her. She turned around and discovered it was Chloe. "Sullivan, to what do I owe this unexpected visit?" Tess asked with a smirk. "How is Clark Kent these days? Or should I say Superman?"
Chloe didn't hesitate and got right down to business. "You have something that belongs to him. I want it."
"Oohhh you want it? Is this your code of language to say that Clark wants it?" Tess asked as her eyes narrowed.
"Sort of." Chloe said and withdrew a tazer and tazered Tess. She fell down on the ground and was taken away to an undisclosed location.

Tess slowly came to when she felt someone prod these probes on her forehead. "Where am I? What happened?" Her eyes settled on Chloe and Dr. Emil Hamilton. "Oh yes, I remember now. You graced me with your presence at the Luthor Mansion, Chloe Sullivan. Said that the artifact I happened to find was Clark's and you wanted it. Well, sweetie, you are never going to get it." Tess said smiling falsely.
Chloe smiled just as falsely. "Erase her memory."
"You are not going to erase anything. I will conquer the world! Do you hear me?!" Tess shouted as she started to struggle against the restraints while Emil activated the machine to erase her memory.

Kara Kent/Kara Zor-El, now Linda Danvers again to protect her Supergirl identity had relocated to Washington DC to be able to study journalism in University and become a hero like her cousin Clark Kent. She had just managed to move in to an apartment thanks to Lana Lang who was living there in Washington as well. She would be staying with her.
Kara was surprised when she got a message on her cellphone from Chloe. She wanted to meet with the young Kryptonian. In Smallville, no less. So she had supersped back to Smallville to meet up with her.
"Chloe, it's good to see you again." Kara said as she pulled Clark's longlife friend into a hug. "I came to Smallville as soon as I got your message. What's going on?"
"Tess Mercer found a new Crystal." Chloe said as she gave Kara one of the printed photographs from the Luthor Mansion. Kara glanced at it and then back at Chloe. "It's a Kandorian Crystal. Where is it now?"
"At a Luthorcorp facility." Chloe said and told her the exact location.
Kara arched her eyebrows as she wondered why now would be the time that another Crystal would resurface. She had returned back to Earth a year ago when her search for Kandor had proved futile. She had been a great help in getting Clark to finally fly and protect the world from Darkseid and his followers.
"Thank you for this information, Chloe." Kara said as she hugged her friend again.
She decided to superspeed instead of fly, because it could still was a danger to get detected flying.
"Anything for a friend!!" Chloe shouted to be heard over the superspeed. Good thing she hadn't asked how she had discovered this information...

Kara arrived at the LuthorCorp facility and found the area where the artifact was hidden very easily. She was astonished to discover that the keycard that she had from so very long ago (3 years ago in fact) still worked. She grinned briefly as she remembered how she had seduced that guy to get his keycard... when she also remembered that man who had had her captured in Green Kryptonite handcuffs and how she had almost died from the Kryptonite... if Clark hadn't been there then... no, she thought shaking her head, it had been Lionel Luthor who had saved the two of them.
Kara shrugged those memories off her mind as she stood in front of the desk and smashed the glass to pieces to see the artifact.
She gasped. It was beautiful, it was a true Kandorian Crystal. She grabbed it and then supersped out of the facility.
The young Kryptonian female knew where to go to next. She had to be as far away as possible to keep this artifact hidden from prying eyes, so she settled for Egypt and flew there all the way to a place in the desert she deemed far enough.
The moment she touched down into the sand, the Kandorian Crystal and flew from her hands. Kara tried to chase after it when it stopped and a bright light erupted from the Crystal and sand-colored crystal spikes shot up from the sand and pointed toward the sky.
She remembered Clark telling how he felt when his Fortress of Solitude was created; she stood there in awe while it created itself right in front of her.
Kara looked left and right and even strained her ears to hear any approaching movement, but luckily nobody approached.
She entered the Fortress while inspecting every inch of it until she came to the console and stopped dead in her tracks. It was just the same like in that horrible place! Nothing pulsed or glowed like in Clark's Fortress! So she decided to activate it. It probably worked the same way it had back in the Phantom Zone.
She scratched her palm against a crystal spike and placed it on the ''S'' panel.
The Fortress started to receive its glow while Kara saw memories flash before her very eyes.
"Race you home Kara Zor-El!" Jan-Es shouted as he started running from school. The laughter, the cries when Kara had fallen and scraped her knee. " I'll take you home, Kara." Jan-Es told her as he held a sobbing Kara Zor-El in his arms while he continued running to her house.
"We will always be eachother's soulmates if we do this, Kara, no matter how far away we are. We will be bloodbound til death do us part. Are you absolutely sure you want to be mine forever?"
"Yes, Jan-Es. Do it." Kara replied.
She softly moaned in pain when she felt the Kryptonian Symbol for Love carved onto her body, just below her breasts, then watched Jan do the very same to his own body. He got on top of her and their blood mixed.
"There, we are now bound together, my love. You, Kara Zor-El and me, Jan-Es."
He kissed her so very full of passion as they made love for the very first time.
"I''ll find a way to be with you and Baby Kal-El, Kara, I promise!" Jan-Es told her as they kissed right in front of Zor-El. She was pushed into the spaceship and was launched to meet up with Baby Kal-El's trajectory for the Planet Earth.
She screamed out his name as she couldn't believe she had forgotten all about him while the tears fell down her face. "JAN!!!!!" All the while her Kryptonian Symbol of Love underneath her breasts glowed...
