Pre-Order Chapter 2

Summary: Ever since a new website has been launched, more celebrities have been disappearing. Where do they go?

Note: Special thanks to Nafeeza Khan, who came up with this idea when I posted my message on Facebook that I had pre-ordered my V DVD.


"Well, you're Laura Vandervoort..." Jan started, to which Laura rolled her eyes. "I know that, thank you." Laura said.

"I'm Jan van Es, and uhm..." he started, hoping she wouldn't freak out that much when he told her what had happened. Should he tell her the truth? "You're in the Netherlands." Her eyes grew wide.

"How did I end up here?" Laura asked him.  

She dug her hands in her pockets and discovered that she still had all her belongings... except for one.

"Where's my Blackberry?" Laura asked as she gasped. Her Blackberry was stolen! It had to be! She still had her wallet and the rest of her belongings, but no cellphone.

"Well, funny you should ask that... there is this website where I pre-ordered you from." Jan said as he showed her the receipt and then he touched her leg. "Do you remember what you were doing before you got here?" 

Laura took a look at the receipt and couldn't believe what she was reading. She was his now?!

"I... I had just finished dinner with my V costars and was about to go home, when Corey called me on my Blackberry..." when Jan heard her boyfriend's name, he took his hand from her leg as if he was stung like a bee. "The next thing I remember was that I felt something against my mouth and  then I woke up here." Laura explained.

So THAT is how she got here? Jan thought as he looked at her. He finally had her and now she told him something that sounded like she had been kidnapped and shipped here?! 

"I'm sorry about everything, Laura, I had no idea about the method of shipping. All I wanted was you, I wish I could find your Blackberry for you, but that's going to be quite a problem." Jan said, after the part where he said that all he wanted was her, he started talking faster. If he had known the website's method of getting the pre-order, he would never have done it. 

He got up from the bed.  "Are you hungry?" Jan asked as he turned to look at her as he was almost out the door.

"Yes, Jan. Thanks." Laura said, something of a smile forming on her face. 

"I hope you like spaghetti." Jan said with a smile and left her alone in his room, the door fully open. Laura could escape him if she wanted to. 

His words echoed through her mind. All I wanted was you...

Jan was setting the table, while he was thinking about her. Now she is probably wanting to go back home, to Corey.. what have I done?! he thought while he checked the spaghetti sauce. He set two wine glasses on the table, but he didn't know if she would want wine.

In a couple of minutes the spaghetti would be done and they could finally start dinner, so Jan turned on the radio and another song set the mood.

Laura had exited his bedroom and proceeded to the area where the music was coming from. She was just in time to see the teardrop that slipped from his eye...

Laura turned off the radio and due to the loss of sound, Jan's head went straight to the radio and found her standing there. She saw the journey his tear had made and stepped forward to brush the tear from his face.

"Well, I'm here now.." she whispered as she wrapped her arms around him. Jan slowly wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek.

"Thank you, Laura." Jan whispered against her cheek, when Laura adjusted her position and their lips connected.

It wasn't Jan's tongue that touched Laura's, but the other way around. 

"Now that is a kiss." Laura whispered.
