Summary: What happened after Kara woke up on the streets in Detroit? Will Clark return from the Fortress of Solitude? Will Chloe take her chance to admit to Clark how she truly feels about him?
Chapter 3 : The Discovery

Two bodies on a sheetless bed, giggles and moans the only sounds audible.
"Mmm Jan..." Laura moaned as he felt his tongue caressing her nipple with soft strokes, like a paintbrush brushing a color on the canvas. Her hand was caressing his visible erection. "Oohhh Kara!" Jan moaned, not even realizing he was calling out a different name... but apparently Laura didn't take offense.
She began to speed up her caress, loving his licks that had also sped up.
"KARA!" Jan moaned, only to be disturbed by a loud buzzing noise...

Jan wakes up from the intense erotic dream due to his alarm on his cellphone... what Jan didn't know was that he had moaned Kara's name himself... he leans toward the nightstand where the phone is and turns off the alarm. When he turns around he sees a body laying next to him... one with an upset look on her face.
"Who's this Kara?" "LAURA?! What are you doing here?" Both questions at exactly the same time. "Oh my god... did we..." Another question instead of answering Laura's.
Laura's face changed from upset to a sad face. "Was Kara your ex girlfriend? You know, you can tell me. I won't get upset, I promise. As for 'Oh my god, did we', no, we didn't. I just couldn't sleep so that's why I went to your room hoping that I could get some sleep here." Laura explained. Strangely the name sounded familar, but Laura couldn't place it.
Jan didn't say anything, instead he kissed Laura softly on her lips. "I'm sorry Laura, I don't know what came over me. No, she's not my ex-girlfriend. I've never even had a girlfriend before.... if you'll excuse me, I gotta go get ready for work!" Jan said and raced out of the bedroom to go take a shower.
Laura got out of the bed, and glanced at herself in the mirror that was in Jan's room. She is beautiful, isn't she? Then why didn't Jan say anything about it? Laura kept gazing into the mirror, when suddenly a red beam shot out of her eyes and shattered the mirror. Oops... how did I do that? Laura thought. She sighed, she'd get Jan a new one.
Laura decided to run after him, yet right after the first step she took she arrived at the door of the bathroom before Jan did, so she decided to take the shower instead. Laura stepped into the shower cubicle and searched for the right temperature of the water to enjoy it. Why does this happen to me? Am I not normal? She thought as the water engulfed her nude body. When Jan opened the door and saw Laura in the shower, he stopped himself from taking another step. Okay, what IS going on?! He thought, but instead of dealing with Laura he began to shave, brush his teeth and put some gel in his hair. Only then did Laura notice Jan being in the bathroom. She even forgot to close the shower cubicle! It wasn't hard for Laura to see the reaction his body had on her. "Jan... you can join me in the shower if you want... that way you don't use the water twice!" Laura said happily.
He'd probably kick himself for it later, but she did have a point. He threw his hands up in defeat. "Okay, I'll join you in the shower." Jan said and did just that. It was hard not to keep looking at her body for awhile and then Jan settled for looking at Laura's face while he washed his body with body lotion and washed his hair with shampoo. "I'm sorry Jan, I should have asked if it was okay to sleep in the same bed..." Laura said after she had finished washing herself and was about to step out of the shower, when Jan took her hand, pressed her against him and kissed her lips again. "True, but you don't have to ask me anymore, from now on, if you want to, you can." Jan said with a smile on his face. Laura returned the smile, beaming of happiness.
Jan got a towel for Laura and dried off the drops of Laura's body. She shivered a bit when he brushed the towel against her breasts, loving the feel of it so much. But of course there was Jan's job at the coffee shop, so she shouldn't feel these feelings at a time like this. Laura took the towel and dried Jan off. There was a similar shiver when he felt her brush the towel against his body, the exact same feeling on his mind.
Before Laura could move, Jan had wrapped his arms around her and held her in his arms as he returned back to the bedroom. He set her down on the bed and smiled at her as he gathered his clothes and put them on. "Would you still like to work along with me at the coffee shop?" He asked her, not realizing that she had once again used her superspeed to get dressed real quick and also not realizing the broken mirror... "Yeah, that'd be great!" Laura said, practically beaming again as she did before.
So Jan and Laura got in the car and drove toward the coffee shop to start off today's day of work. Jan opened the shop and started to teach Laura how everything worked. Now they were on a little break just before closing time. Today was a good day for business, it seemed. They snuck toward the back room where all the supplies were. Laura pressed Jan against the door and kissed him hard on his lips, while her hands touched his beautiful back that she had glimpsed twice this morning... the first time during Jan's discovery that she had slept in his bed with him, and the second time during their joined shower. Jan pulled her closer by pressing his hands against her ass, giving Laura her first french kiss. Then the bell rang, announcing a new customer.
Damn! They both thought, both not knowing that their thought was the same one. Jan decided to stay close to Laura as they got to the front to see who the customer was. Jan didn't recognize him as a regular, though.
The customer was a man who had a baseball cap around his face which he took off. "I'm not too late am I?" He asked, worried, plus another emotion crossing his features. One of recognition.
Laura smiled at him. "Nope, you're right on time before we close up shop! What can I get you?" She asked him sweetly, as if he hadn't just interrupted a makeout session that was taking a turn for the heavy intense.
"I was hoping I could get an espresso to go?" The man asked.
"Not a problem! Let me whip one up for you." Laura said and began to make an espresso for the customer. As Jan watched how Laura was faring, he couldn't help but be proud of her. She was handling the customer like a true member of the staff!
The man paid Jan for the order and thanked them before he went his merry way again. As he left the two young lovers behind who had embraced each other again, not caring if people who walked by the coffee shop saw them exchanging such loving kisses, he whipped out his cellphone and speeddialed his last caller.
"Mr. Luthor, we've found her!"
