Cruel Friends : A Jan/Laura/Corey fanfic.

Chapter One

Jan walked into the Blue Nites bar to have a drink before he would go home and call it a night. He sees a couple heavily making out
in one of the booths. At first he ignores them, when he turned around again for one final glance at them.

*Holy Shit! That's my buddy Corey Sevier. But that's NOT his girlfriend Laura Vandervoort!!*

Instinctively Jan grabbed his cellphone and shot a picture of his friend and some brunette girl. Jan quickly put his cellphone back in
his pocket. The bartender returned from out back and grinned. "Jan buddy! How are you?"

Corey stopped kissing the girl he was with to check if the bartender was pulling his leg or not. He wouldn't lie about that, now would
he?  "JAN, BUDDY!" Corey called and got up from his seat, just as Jan told the bartender that he was doing good.

"Corey, hi. Greg, can I have a beer?" Jan asked as Corey joined him. "Why don't you come join me and Candy? Put it on our tab, Greg."
Corey said. "There will be no such..." Jan started, but Corey interrupted his buddy. "He's absolutely drunk already, Greg. Put it on my tab." Corey jokingly said as he smiled while Jan glared at him.

*WHAT? Does he think I can't pay for it or something?*

Jan sighed. "Okay, I'll join you and Candy. What happened with Laura, dude? Did you piss her off or somethng?" Jan asked. Corey
chuckled. "Relax, chill, dude. Laura and I have never been better. Candy's a regular here." Corey said as he saw Greg give Jan his
beer. "Dude, so basically you're cheating on Laura! How long?" Jan asked as he thanked Greg and took a swig of his beer. "DUDE!
Don't get your briefs in a twist! No, for your information she doesn't know and I would like to keep it that way." Corey said as they
walked to the booth where Candy sat. "Hey, big boy." Candy said with a big grin on her face. "Who's your friend, Cor?" she asked.

"That's..." Corey started, but Jan interrupted his buddy. "Hi, I'm Jan. Pleased to meet you." Jan said, nodding at her once and taking
another swig of his beer. Brunettes weren't his thing so he didn't grab her hand to kiss it. Candy leaned against Corey. "Corey..."
she whined, her lips tracing his earlobe. Corey pulled his cellphone out and placed it on the table. "Jan, buddy... Candy and I need
some time alone, so I'm leaving my phone here with you. I trust you. Come on, girl!" Corey said and pulled on Candy's body to go
to the bathroom with her.

He just EXPECTED Jan to do that?! An evil grin placed across Jan's features. He grabbed Corey's cellphone while he sent the
photo to Corey's from his own phone. A beep sounded which meant that Corey had a new message. "Your loss, Corey Sevier...
my gain. You shouldn't hurt the ones you love." Jan whispered as he sent the photograph to Laura's cellphone. Right after that,
he deleted both pictures on the two cellphones and snapped both cellphones shut. He placed Corey's cellphone back on the
table, while the other disappeared in his pocket. "Oh Greg! After they get back, be sure to have some dropshots on the bar. We
have got something to celebrate!" Jan ordered Greg as he walked to the bar to pay in advanced.  "For sure, buddy. Thanks."

Jan grinned evilly.
