So each year I do a Goodreads Challenge. I finished with 52 books read out of 50 books.

THIS year... again 50 books.

So for Goodreads Challenge 2020, I have again 50 books to finish reading.

And today, being the very first of January 2020, I already finished one book out of the fifty!

Okay, so it was a short story, but it still counts.

CRYSTAL BRAWL by NAZRI NOOR.

I emailed the author and he said it was a story that takes place between book 1 and book 2.

Since I got the first 3 books as an omnibus-esque volume and I am currently right in the middle of said omnibus-esque volume (book 2) I thought it best to read that now.

As I told my girlfriend, I would set aside all reading in the final days of 2019 and really start reading in 2020, so far I finished the one book.

Duncan "Dunc" Graves and his talking sword Vanitas stumble upon this brand new female character who is also after her own kind of "friend" just like Duncan and Vanitas have.

I won't say any more but I really enjoyed this book and hope this female character (her name wasn't revealed but Duncan dubbed her as Spellsa, kind of like Elsa but because she unleashed so many spells hence the name) to come back in a future book.

Hopefully I will still be able to produce a new chapter in a series that ran on my LiveJournal (I Drive The Guys Wild) before January 1st is over, because I plan to be so very active that the amount of entries on LJ will put the amount of 2019 to shame in 2020!

(But yeah, I say that now, we'll see at the end of 2020, I think I had more entries in 2018 on LJ, but I don't really remember that.)
