Sunshine Challenge Day 2: Fannish Identity

liquidtears Actually doesn't make any sense crossposting it to LJ because my username there isn't liquidtears, so I'd have to make two separate replies to that if I do.
Prompt 2: Fannish Identity

Well, I guess I created it because of the rejections I have had in my life.
Each tear that would be shed to feel like a rejection.
I'm really happy now with an amazing girlfriend in my life now.
3 hours of our day we get to chat so then I can forget about the daily stuff for a bit and chat about all things fandom, work (right now I'm searching for a job again after having had a 1 month trial version of a job but then at the end I wasn't deemed good enough to officially start working there), tv shows, games/apps we both play and books we're reading. Those are the highlights of my day because I share my interests and get her interests right back at me.
I don't think I could find a better someone for me here in The Netherlands, while she's from the UK.
Why is this my profile picture?
Well, I had lots of others before this one, but I changed it to this one because I finally met a celebrity.
Katherine McNamara from Shadowhunters and Arrow, both shows which I love, and it was even IN The Netherlands so I didn't have to travel abroad in the first place!
I was watching a Shadowhunters Reaction on YouTube by abnormallyadam when there was an advertisement for a convention in Utrecht called Dutch Comic-Con at Jaarbeurs Utrecht and the image showed Katherine McNamara!
So I've never been to a convention before, heck, I want to go to Comic Con in San Diego so bad but I never have anyone else who shares the same interests I have, so when I saw that I just knew I had to get a ticket and go there. The convention was two days and even had Jennifer Morrison from Once Upon A Time there but I only wanted to meet Katherine McNamara so I went there on my own for one day.
At like noon there was the Panel where she could be asked questions and at 13:45 there was the Photo-op.
It was an amazing time, which is why it is my profile picture.
My first language is Dutch, and I have had times where I have written fanfics in Dutch, although I prefer my second language which is English which I learned by watching so many tv shows and playing so many videogames (preferably RPG's like Legend of Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy type games) and of course reading English books. I prefer reading English books over books in my own language.
What does Fannish Identity mean to you?
Fannish Identity to me means that you can enjoy watching or reading or even writing tv shows/comics/books that you like and even can create stories based on your favorite characters. Now there are some authors who don't want you writing fanfics of their characters and some that don't mind at all which is good.
