Well, let's do first things first, shall we?

The Job That Sounded So Perfect turned out to be not so perfect after all.

This is how things went:

Monday: perfect score
Tuesday: lots of errors
Wednesday: perfect score
Thursday: lots of errors

After exactly a month (I started 11th March but that didn't really count because on my first day I couldn't find the place until 11th April) I was let go.

I was taken to a separate room from my co-workers (who I got along with fine) and told that they wouldn't continue with me.

I wanted to cry.

I was pretty sure I was going to unleash waterworks, but I kept myself 'strong' in check if you will.

I said goodbye to all of them and went on my way home an hour earlier than I would have worked normal time.

Now what? kept going through my mind over and over.

I was even too scared to tell my family, I was that ashamed.

So now it's back to the ole drawing board and see what the work agency will come up with next.

That's Real Life....

In other news, I watched Shadowhunters 318 and was shocked to see Malec broke up.

I even tracked down the song that played during the breakup.

LOVE Dark Clary!!!

In other other news...

I am up to date with the new comic of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER run from BOOM Studios... and I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I also love that they used a bit of lore from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Novel THE LOST SLAYER.

In there there had been this huge bat called Camazotz who was a bad guy in the novel, but in this comic lore, Anya has a Magic Shop, she's tied up by Drusilla and being interrogated about this sort of item. Anya refuses to answer so Drusilla smashes an item from her magic shop.

Then she unleashes the great bat called Camazotz who goes on a "KILL ALL VAMPIRES" spree.

He crosses paths with Buffy and this interaction OH MY GOD I LOVE IT...

"Why, Slayer? Why does Slayer hurt?" "What did you say?" "Camazotz... help Slayer. Always." "Your name is Camazotz?!" "Camazotz only purpose. Protect Slayer. Kill Vampires." "Uh, wow. You're like my Pegasus?" "Pegasus?" #BuffyTheVampireSlayer3
— Jan van Es (@Jan_van_Es) April 18, 2019

Turns out that Anya got this jar from the Watcher's Council in some year with Camazotz trapped in it which I find very interesting. I really want Camazotz to return in a future issue and team up with Buffy.

The latest Buffy issue has Xander feeling alienated from the group since Buffy and Co are going to a movie at the Bronze with (a young) Robin Wood (now a student at Buffy's school), who he thinks that Buffy likes and vice versa. In the meantime, Buffy lost her phone in Issue 3 so when he gets texts from "Buffy" he doesn't think twice about who it could be and agrees to meet... when it's actually Drusilla and Spike (Spike doing the texting)

During that issue Xander just lets Drusilla bite him!!

It ends with a shot of Angel... paving the way for Angel #0 aka the new comic book series. Really interested in that too.

GRETEL #2: I am liking this series from Zenescope more and more.

What Else?

I'm still Uncle Jan for my nieces and nephews... going to sit again for a few hours during the afternoon tomorrow. Probably the only thing I'm good at doing right now. I don't know how I would do with total stranger's kids. The trick I have is having my iPad with me and doing games with my nieces and nephews and of course getting them to bed at a good early hour.

What I am just getting more and more worried about is the lack of my fic updates.

I keep sitting behind my laptop with the "LET'S DO THIS THING!" attitude and trying to get words on paper and trust me I have plans for updates like UTOPIA and some new series, but it's just not working.

comments

Hello Everyone!

I am just checking to see how everyone is doing!

As for me, my new job started this week. I only work 4 days a week now but it already started out bad and I am just in a trial phase until 12th April and then the decision will be made if I will continue working there or if I will have to be let go...

I managed to not find the location on my first day, but it turns out that, Tuesday, when I was being driven by a friend of the family to that location, that I had actually managed to get REAL close to the location! I keep thinking what if I had just pushed on and actually rang the doorbell and discover for myself that I was there!? If I could turn back time so I could end up showing up on my first day I definitely would. And today I was an hour late... ugh! But now the location should be familiar to me so tomorrow I will be able to show up on time!

So that's kind of why updates of my fanfics are so scarce.

Yet I do have new ideas for fanfics:

1) an idea I got because of Shadowhunters: Clary and Jonathan are linked and in the latest episode Jonathan carved a line on himself which transferred to Clary's skin saying I MISS YOU... so my idea is, what if there is a couple or maybe more (think Utopia but not repeating or maybe repeating myself with the no clothes rule) that are linked and communicate by carving into their skin? Yup, I know, DARK, but if you've read A GLOW IN THE DARK, I'm kinda into writing that stuff?

2) this but then of course the NC17 without the make-up stuff? Could be males too?

Honestly, I could go for both but I am very interested in what YOU want to see. So which idea should I go for?

Peace,

eternal_moonie on LJ / LiquidTears on DW / eternal_moonie on AO3

comments

Howdy y'all, here's another update!

It is going great on the Reading Challenge 2019 of Goodreads, at least I'd like to think so.

I completed my fifth book out of 50 for this year so I'd like to think it is going okay so far.

I have joined some KH Communities out there on Dreamwidth.

kh_100
kh_drabble , I have already been a member on LJ for that one, but for the DW one I just joined.
kingdom_kink , I have requested to join.

I have browsed/lurked at kh_anoncomm but haven't posted there yet but that was quite a few days ago when I joined that. I don't really like to be anonymous what with all the logging out stuff, but we'll see how that will go.

Does anyone know of other fun Kingdom Hearts Communities to join?

Also, I have had a Discord called FanofTheLetter but I hardly use that.

Same goes for a nice KH Discord Group.

Hope everyone else are doing great!

comments

Just checking in.

I've picked up Kingdom Hearts III a few days before the 29th of January, much to my surprise.

Have played a little bit of it so far and LOVING it!!

Cleared World 1 (Olympus) but not 100% because I missed 7 Treasure Chests.

No way of checking up before that because you get the GummiPhone after finishing that world for the first time and GummiPhone has an option of checking your Treasure Chests.

World 2 Twilight Town 10/10 Treasure Chests so perfect "score/results"

Then I did a Gummiship world where I had my first death and after beating that boss I ended up in... Tangled World aka Kingdom of Corona which is actually World 4, while ToyBox/Toy Story is actually World 3. Need 3 more Treasure Chests to have a perfect score/result.

That's all I actually played so far... don't want to super-rush into it so taking things *extremely* slow. Hopefully inspired for future fic.

If you'd like to follow my stuff on pinterest: https://nl.pinterest.com/janvanes/ (lots of Kingdom Hearts themed posts)

I may have a job starting March 1st so gameplay will diminish greatly not just for Kingdom Hearts III but also my other iPad games such as Criminal Case (Current one The Conspiracy not yet a standalone app which will launch March 2019, Pacific Bay app, Save The World app and Mysteries of the Past app) , DC Legends, Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, lots of Cookie Cats (Cookie Cats, Cookie Cats Pop, Cookie Cats Blast), Simon's Cat (Crunch Time, Pop Time) Bee Brilliant (Bee Brilliant and Bee Brilliant Blast), Disco Ducks, Garfield Snacktime and recently downloaded Garfield FoodTruck.

Hope everyone is doing great as well.

comments
