Angelus Fic: Defiance
Title: Defiance
Rating: PG13/NC17
Summary: Hearing about the new Angelus Host, an Angelus Warrior is interested in meeting her, even when Sabine clearly tells and orders her Angelus Warrior not to.

The Angelus Lieutenant called Sabine stood in front of her fellow Angelus Warriors, holding out a glowing sphere in her hands.
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God's spirit was hovering over the face of the waters. God said, 'Let there be light.' And there was light. God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness. Thus has it ever been, the light divided from the darkness, each forever at war with the other. THIS is why I have summoned you, my loyal warriors. To set this task before you in secret... to set into motion the mechanism of our ultimate triumph. Remember what you are... Remember who you serve. We are the Warrior Elite of the Angelus. We have served each incarnation of our mistress since the beginning of creation. Each time the Angelus Force has chosen a host, we have done her bidding without question or complaint. All in service to the light. Yet this new host, she who until recently wore the balance, is different. Undeserving. She is not the same manner of pawn our mistress has previously chosen. This one retains free will. And that makes her dangerous. We cannot trust that her goals are our goals. She must be dealt with. So I have summoned and tasked you. Bring me that which I desire, and we will turn it to our purpose..."
Sabine stopped as she looked at all her followers. There was one missing. "WHERE IS LEONI!?" She called out, anger written across her face.
Nobody dared to speak, fearing that she would unleash her anger upon the one who would open his or her mouth to speak.
"Well?!" She called.
Sabine had wanted Leoni specifically on this mission. He had always been loyal to her and the Angelus Force, so why would he not be included to the quest that she had tasked her Angelus Warriors on?
"Did you all lose your tongue? I asked you all a question! Now I expect an answer!!"
One of them dared to speak. "He... uhm... I think he is off training somewhere, my liege. That, or he overslept."
The glowing sphere that showed all the previous Angelus Force chosen, along with the new one Danielle Baptiste, dissipated, then disappeared completely.
He has never defied a Summons before... Sabine thought as she heard what her Warrior had to say. For that, he will burn...
"Thank you." She said through gritted teeth to the one who had spoken. The others knew their fellow Warrior was in trouble.
"Now where was I? Oh yes. Go, and let nothing bar your way... though the journey delivers you to hell itself."

Leoni returned from his training exercise, his body sweaty and so were his wings. He entered his house where he went straight to the shower as he undid the armor that covered his body so he was totally naked. The shower was accommodated to fit his wings. He was about to step into the shower, let himself be engulfed by the warmth of the water when...
"Where in the name of the Angelus Host were you?!" Sabine called out as she placed the pointy tip of her spear against his backside. The fact that he was nude did nothing to her. Sometimes they did share the heat and passion together, but this time she wasn't 'just' Sabine, she was the Angelus Lieutenant, furious at an order issued to her lover that had not been obeyed.
"Put away your spear and I will tell you. You could even join me and I could tell you then." Leoni said, awaiting the seconds it would take before Sabine would put away the spear...
