Summary: What happened after Kara woke up on the streets in Detroit? Will Clark return from the Fortress of Solitude? Will Chloe take her chance to admit to Clark how she truly feels about him?

Chapter 6 : Resurrection & A Tearful Goodbye

"I love you, Sarah." Jan told the girl he had a crush on. Sarah just looked at him, not knowing what to say. "Thanks, Jan." She just said and walked away.
"Sarah, wait! Would you like to go to the School Dance with me next friday?"
When was HE finally going to shut up and accept she was with Jason?! "I'm sorry, Jan, I'm already going with Jason. My boyfriend, you know?"

Sigh. So Jan was going to the School Dance alone. As usual. He had a plan that hopefully would make her see how wrong she was to be with Jason. The party was in full swing, when suddenly the lights dimmed. Jan appeared on the stage and began to sing a song that he knew was one of Sarah's favorite songs. The only thing of the lyrics he had changed was the word 'baby'; he had changed it to 'Sarah'. After the song, a lot of people just stared at Jan and began laughing... except a few people didn't laugh.

When Jan got off the stage, he went to the small bar and ordered something alcoholic. *She doesn't even like that, either?* Jan sadly thought, when he was surrounded by a couple of people. "That took a lot of guts. High five, Jan! I'm Amber, and this is Bridget and Ana, David and Greg." Jan high-fived them, and from that moment on they were the best of friends...

"Chloe... I want you to listen very closely... Jan's cellphone is in his left jacket's pocket, I want you to call his mother Aurora Brown. Did you get that?" Kara asked very calmly, while inside she was fuming. How DARE her cousin SHOOT her boyfriend? Chloe nodded. Which was the perfect moment for Kara to superspeed toward Bizarro Kal-El and take him toward the window, where the two disappeared through.

Immediately after Kara and Bizarro Kal-El had left, Chloe went towards Jan, but not to grab his cellphone at first. Her hands were hovering above the place where Jan had been shot, and white light erupted from her hands and began to enclose themselves around Jan's wound. Then, she immediately went for Jan's pocket to get out his cellphone. She immediately scrolled through the contents of his cellphone and found his mother's number.

Chloe called his mom, who picked up on the first ring. "Chile, what's ---?" But she was interrupted by Chloe. "Mrs. Brown, you may not know me, but I'm a friend of your son's, and... he was shot! But don't worry, I healed him, it's just that I absorb the pain of the people that I heal, and I don't know when I might succumb to it, but..." "NOOO! Not my chile! What happened? Whoever you are, I need to know!" "We're at his apartment." And then she disconnected.

Jan got up slowly and blinked his eyes. The half-nude girl wasn't Kara... what was her name again? Just as the girl fell to the floor, did he remember her name. "CHLOE!" Jan yelled and immediately reacted by holding her in his arms and taking her to his bed, where he laid her down to rest. He could only hope Kara was doing okay.

"YOU MURDERER!!" Kara yelled at her cousin, trying to get a kick in, but her cousin dodged it while laughing maniacally. "He's not the one for you and you know it!! Yet I bet you liked being in his arms, being with him under the shower... didn't you?" He asked, grabbing her throat. "Foolish cousin, let me tell you something about Kal-El. He never wanted you here, he thought the 'other' Kara was way hotter and better. She talked about preserving the Kryptonian race, and you... oh, if only you knew what Clark's first thought was when he had met you for the very first time... he wanted you so much... you were so sexy with those short shorts and that blue shirt, yet every thought crumbled when he heard you are his cousin... but this Kal-El is tainted with his Earth principles and rules... whereas I'm not your average Kal-El, no, I'm way better than him. Trust me, Kara, it was needed to kill him, only then we can be truly together..." Bizarro Kal-El said, running his other hand down her neck and over her clothed body.

Kara was horrified to hear these things coming from this evil man, who she knew was NOT her cousin. Not once did she ever think sexually about her own cousin. "No, please stop! I'm warning you, STOP!" She screamed, her anger empowering her and causing her to break his hold over her.

"You're a sick bastard, do you know that?" Kara told him, "it will be my pleasure to get Clark back, I'll save him from your bizarre thoughts!" She said and kicked him hard in his nether regions. Bizarro Kal-El yelled out, strangely loving this worked up version of his cousin. "Are you always so feisty when making love to... what was his name again? Hmm... Jan?" Bizarro Kal-El asked grinning evilly as he was hit again. "Struck a nerve there, didn't I ?" He asked, before slamming his fist against her, resulting in Kara falling down to the ground, creating a small crater. "You're more of an on your knees person, I take it? Kneel before Bizarro Kal-El, and I may let you live, Kara my beautiful cousin." He said, holding out his hand. Kara smiled as she pulled out the bigger than normal 'S' crystal and enclosed her hand around his.... which resulted in Bizarro Kal-El screaming loud.

"Got ya." Kara said with a grin, as the 'S' crystal was erased from the crystal, the only thing that remained was just a normal unimportant crystal, the power inside the crystal fully consumed, used up. Kara held her real cousin in her arms and flew back toward Jan's apartment, all the while holding Clark.

Just that moment when they enter through the broken window was the moment when Jan's mom entered the room. "Where is he, where's my chile?" She asked, scared when she saw the blood on the floor. Jan appeared from the bedroom and was immediately hugged by Kara. She had put Clark on the couch to regain consciousness on his own. "Oh Jan, I was so scared. I thought I'd never see you again. I saw you get shot...." Kara said, tears falling down her cheeks.

"Chloe healed me, Kara. She's in the bedroom, recuperating from her attempt at bringing me back." Jan explained to her. "Wait a minute... your girlfriend can fly? This Chloe healed you? Jan, what is going on here? What kind of friends do you have, Kara?" Aurora didn't understand all of this.

"Hmm... ouch...." Clark said, opening his eyes and getting up from the couch. Jan's eyes instantly turned resentful. "YOU!" Jan shouted and wanted to give Clark something he wouldn't quite forget for a couple of days, but Kara held him back. "Jan, don't! He's my cousin... and I swear, he isn't the same guy that came here and.... well, you know." Kara explained to her boyfriend.

A gasp sounded from the bedroom.... and a half-nude Chloe entered. "OH MY GOD! Chile, please don't tell me what I'm seeing is something you called for!" Jan's mom exclaimed and shielded her eyes from the sight. "Oh, you must be Jan's mom who I've spoken to on the phone... I'm Chloe Sullivan. Trust me, it's not how I always look." She said, a blush appearing on her cheeks.

"Chloe?! How come you're dressed like that?"
"Well, Clark... what can I say? Here I am, leaving voicemails every couple of hours for you to return from wherever you were, and then it takes another product, that LOOKS just like you and can also fly to sweep me off my feet at the Daily Planet..." Clark looked at Chloe, horrified. "Oh no, Bizarro..."

"Who else could love me like that, huh? Because you're still in love with dead Lana, aren't you?" Chloe retorted. "Will you stop it, all of you?!" Jan asked.

Everyone turned to look at Jan. "Thanks, so first of, Hi Clark, I'm Jan Brown, and this is my mother, Aurora Brown. I'm your cousin's boyfriend. She was having amnesia and after she had arrived at my mom's diner, we took her in." Clark was speechless. "Thank you so much for taking care of her, I was detained by my dad... so I couldn't go look for Kara or even visit Chloe..." Clark explained.

Explanations went on and on, until Clark spoke up again. "Thank you both for your help, but now Kara has to return to Smallville with me." Clark calmly spoke up. "WHAT? No, you can't be serious! I finally find someone who truly loves me and I know that she loves me too...." Jan was interrupted. "Okay, standing right here, Jan, but it's true, I love you too." Kara replied with a smile.
Then Kara got an idea. "The only way we can both be happy... is that Jan goes with us back to Smallville. We can let him stay at the Talon, and Lois can come back to live with us." Kara suggested.

"Absolutely not! Who is going to work at the coffee shop in the weekends?" Aurora asked astonished. "Mom, can't you call Amber, Bridget, Ana, David or Greg to fill in for me?" Jan asked her.

"HAH! Says the man who is friends with them! Do you even know how they're doing? You DON'T, because you've never called or seen them since graduation!" Her mother shot back. "You're not a little kid anymore, don't you walk away from us!"

Poor Jan. Had he finally found someone to love, was she going to return to her home that she shared with her cousin! Truth was, that Jan had had it, and had stomped off toward the bathroom. He had locked the door before either Kara or Clark could get there with their superspeed, or Chloe or his mother could reach it with their normal running speed. "JAN, open this door! Don't worry, we'll think of something!"

But Jan wasn't listening. He had stripped himself off of his clothes and started to go to the shower cubicle. He touched the wall for 5 seconds and the wall changed. Instead there was a small cd player. If memory served correctly, Avril Lavigne's "My Happy Ending" was in there. The music began to play as water streamed down Jan's nude form. And tears mixed with the music and water. He couldn't believe his mother didn't want to continue his relationship with Kara Kent. He had finally found someone to love and now this??

After the song was over and Jan was totally rejuvenated, did he step out of the shower after he had closed the water supply. Jan began to get dressed again and opened the door again, where all four people had been standing in front of after he had left them.

"Jan... chile... we've discussed it, all of us, and... the truth is, you can't stay close to your mother forever, you need to make your own destiny, your own life. Of course you can always visit me when you're in Detroit..." tears fell down her cheeks. "If you want to go to Smallville with them, you may." Now Jan had tears fall from his cheeks as well as he walked over towards his mother and hugged her. "Thank you, mom." he whispered against her.

After their embrace, Jan and Kara kissed in front of Chloe and Clark, along with Jan's mother... who was still wiping her eyes with a handkerchief.

So it was official: Jan is going to go back to Smallville with them. Problem is, who can get them back to Smallville? Surely Kara can't fly them all to Smallville, right? So Chloe did the one thing that would work: she called her cousin Lois to come pick them up. Lois told her cousin that she would do that by coming to Detroit with the large Daily Planet bus. For one night the three stayed at Jan's place. He just hoped Clark and Chloe wouldn't be offended by sharing the guest room together... while Jan and Kara slept in Jan's room.

"Wow... aren't you a bit scared, Jan? You'll be leaving this apartment soon..." Kara said as she held him in her arms after their lovemaking. "Honestly? A little, but at least I got you close to me." Jan said with a smile, snuggling up next to her. "Ssst... listen." Kara said with a smile. Apparently she was the only one that could hear her cousin's and Chloe's moans through the wall of the guest room. "I don't hear anything, Kara." Jan said to her... "They're in love, do the math, lover." Kara said with a grin as she kissed her lover again.
Then they went under the covers and slept spooned against eachother...
