Summary: What happened after Kara woke up on the streets in Detroit? Will Clark return from the Fortress of Solitude? Will Chloe take her chance to admit to Clark how she truly feels about him?
Chapter 2 : The Punishment
Lex Luthor sat in his office, checking the updated information on his current Project. It had been a strange couple of days, since it was a first that Clark Kent hadn't barged into his manor, demanding answers to his questions about what he was doing. He briefly wondered where he could be, but then that thought made him smile. It felt like as if from now, every single Project he was working on wouldn't get foiled by someone, but just actually be completed and turn into that success Lex Luthor always craved.
Meanwhile at the Daily Planet, Chloe sighed as she left what must have been her thirteenth message on Clark's cellphone. "Clark, it's Chloe... again. Where are you? What happened to you after you went to the Fortress to stop Zor-El? Are you and Kara alright? Please get back to me soon or you leave me no choice to leave you my fourteenth message!" Chloe spoke into the phone before snapping it shut. Things hadn't really been running smoothly for Chloe Sullivan. Her cousin has been way too friendly with Daily Planet editor Grant Gabriel... blowing Chloe's chances of ever writing THAT article that would get her a Pullitzer. No, he only had eyes and time for her cousin Lois Lane... and her ex Jimmy Olsen kept whining about where his precious girl Kara was. If she had seen her already or had heard from her yet. The tears that fell wouldn't make things better: Chloe had set her mind on telling Jimmy that she was one of the meteor-infected and that not all people are evil. That there are good people with abilities too. Yet everytime she wanted to tell him, he kept bringing up Kara. Kara, the girl that had rescued Jimmy from the car when one of the Weather Girls had frozen up Jimmy's car, trapping him inside it. Will there be a time when I can tell him without even a mention of Kara? Chloe sadly thought as she continued to search for some information for her new article.
Chloe's voice reverberated throughout the Fortress of Solitude, where a frozen Clark Kent and Jor-El listened to the message. "She's been worried sick about you, my son. I know it's hard and I could just set you free, but I know that should I set you free right this minute, you still won't have learned your lesson. It was wrong to insert the blue Crystal into the console, which created the eclipse. Your human emotions made you weak. Chloe loves you, my son. Not that Lana girl that betrayed you with your enemy. And for that I'll bring you to her..." Silence. "In a bizarre twisted way." Had Jor-El a body, he would have probably been showing a twisted grin.
There was a flash and when the flash had lifted, another Clark stood standing there, in front of the frozen Clark. An evil grin spread across his features which made his face distort slightly. "You screwed up again, Kent. Now I'll have my fun... without you to stop me." And with that, Bizarro sped from the Fortress... leaving a still frozen Clark in its wake at the Fortress of Solitude.
Where to go to first? Bizarro-Clark thought with an unusual evil grin on his face. He could go to the Daily Planet and reassure Chloe that he was still around... he could check what's happening at the farm, at Lex's mansion... too many possibilities to wreak some havoc as a doppleganger of Clark Kent.
Maybe he could find someone so he could remain Clark Kent forever, never ever having to recharge his batteries to prevent him from bizarro-ing out, getting that bizarreness on his face again. Having made up his mind, Bizarro-Clark sped toward his destination...
Meanwhile, Lex was on the phone in his mansion. He was wondering if anyone had been able to locate his last addition to the Talon staff: Kara Kent.
"What have you found so far, Detective Spears?" He spoke into the phone.
"Mr. Luthor, sir, so far I haven't been able to locate her yet. Not even my team has seen her in the last couple of days. We'll be covering some more ground soon." But that wasn't what Lex Luthor wanted to hear. He wanted her back.
"Then make sure she'll be found!" Lex angrily said, as he slammed his cellphone shut and let his thoughts get consumed about the girl who had saved him at Hoovers Dam. That beautiful face, her flipping hair...
He also remembered their conversation that they had had the night before she officially began working at the Talon. There was still something about her... and being Clark Kent's cousin sure was like music to Lex's ears... especially if she could be anything like Clark Kent.
An evil grin appeared on his facial features...
