The Job That Sounded So Perfect turned out to be not so perfect after all.
This is how things went:
Monday: perfect score
Tuesday: lots of errors
Wednesday: perfect score
Thursday: lots of errors
After exactly a month (I started 11th March but that didn't really count because on my first day I couldn't find the place until 11th April) I was let go.
I was taken to a separate room from my co-workers (who I got along with fine) and told that they wouldn't continue with me.
I wanted to cry.
I was pretty sure I was going to unleash waterworks, but I kept myself 'strong' in check if you will.
I said goodbye to all of them and went on my way home an hour earlier than I would have worked normal time.
Now what? kept going through my mind over and over.
I was even too scared to tell my family, I was that ashamed.
So now it's back to the ole drawing board and see what the work agency will come up with next.
That's Real Life....
In other news, I watched Shadowhunters 318 and was shocked to see Malec broke up.
I even tracked down the song that played during the breakup.
LOVE Dark Clary!!!
In other other news...
I am up to date with the new comic of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER run from BOOM Studios... and I absolutely LOVE it!!!
I also love that they used a bit of lore from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Novel THE LOST SLAYER.
In there there had been this huge bat called Camazotz who was a bad guy in the novel, but in this comic lore, Anya has a Magic Shop, she's tied up by Drusilla and being interrogated about this sort of item. Anya refuses to answer so Drusilla smashes an item from her magic shop.
Then she unleashes the great bat called Camazotz who goes on a "KILL ALL VAMPIRES" spree.
He crosses paths with Buffy and this interaction OH MY GOD I LOVE IT...
Turns out that Anya got this jar from the Watcher's Council in some year with Camazotz trapped in it which I find very interesting. I really want Camazotz to return in a future issue and team up with Buffy.
The latest Buffy issue has Xander feeling alienated from the group since Buffy and Co are going to a movie at the Bronze with (a young) Robin Wood (now a student at Buffy's school), who he thinks that Buffy likes and vice versa. In the meantime, Buffy lost her phone in Issue 3 so when he gets texts from "Buffy" he doesn't think twice about who it could be and agrees to meet... when it's actually Drusilla and Spike (Spike doing the texting)
During that issue Xander just lets Drusilla bite him!!
It ends with a shot of Angel... paving the way for Angel #0 aka the new comic book series. Really interested in that too.
GRETEL #2: I am liking this series from Zenescope more and more.
What Else?
I'm still Uncle Jan for my nieces and nephews... going to sit again for a few hours during the afternoon tomorrow. Probably the only thing I'm good at doing right now. I don't know how I would do with total stranger's kids. The trick I have is having my iPad with me and doing games with my nieces and nephews and of course getting them to bed at a good early hour.
What I am just getting more and more worried about is the lack of my fic updates.
I keep sitting behind my laptop with the "LET'S DO THIS THING!" attitude and trying to get words on paper and trust me I have plans for updates like UTOPIA and some new series, but it's just not working.
