Young Love - V fic

Title: Young Love
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Lisa is being teased by a fellow Visitor child. Anna explains what that means.
Fandom: V.

Young Lisa ran into the private chambers of her mother, crying.

"Mommy, Leoni is teasing me again!" she cried.

"That will be all, Marcus." Anna said.

He nodded and left her chambers.

Anna sighed, at such a young age her daughter already showed such emotion. How was she going to mold her into a Visitor without any emotion this way?

She wrapped her young daughter up in her arms, who continued to cry against her dress.

"What happened, Lisa?" Anna asked.

"He keeps pulling my ponytail. I keep telling him it hurts but he just won't stop."

Anna ran her hand over her ponytail the way like she would pet a cat if she had one.

"He just likes you, my dear Lisa."

She had thought her mother would dry her tears for her, but Lisa wiped away her own tears with her fingers as she looked up into her eyes.

"Really? He likes me? Then why won't he just tell me instead of hurting my ponytail every day?"

"I guess he is just scared of telling you how he feels about you, scared of rejection. How do you feel about him, daughter?"

"Well, I don't know. All he ever does is that, so... what you are saying is true, that he likes me, then I guess I like him."

"Isn't there anyone else you like?" Anna asked then.

She shook her little head. "No. What should I do, Mommy?"

"Well, maybe you should kiss him on his lips and see his reaction." Anna suggested.

Little Lisa smiled. "Okay, Mommy."

There she is, Leoni thought with a grin as he saw Lisa come into view the next morning at school.

"Hey there, Lisa." he said, ready to pull her by her ponytail again, when she suddenly stepped forward and planted a big kiss on his lips.

"Good morning, Leoni." she said smiling.

Leoni stared at her in shock.

"You... you like me too?" he whispered, his young eyes betraying that he was on the verge of crying.

"Yeah." Lisa said, then giggled. "At first I didn't know what you meant with pulling my ponytail every day, but now I do."

She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him.

He did break then. "I thought you wouldn't feel the same about me, since I am not as high up in rank as your family."

"I don't care about anyone's rank, Leoni. Never have and never will," she whispered against his cheek.

Then she took his hand while the other one wiped away his lingering tears.

"Come on, school's about to start."

The End.
